Abelardo "Bill" Alvillar Obituary

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Abelardo "Bill" Alvillar on January 4, 2025, in Cypress, California, at the age of 90. Bill passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by his family’s love.

Born on October 23, 1934, in Colorado, Bill lived a full and meaningful life. He was a kind and outgoing man who brought joy to everyone he met. As a dedicated Grocery Manager, he worked hard to support his family and taught them the importance of honesty, hard work, and caring for others.

Bill’s greatest passion was his family. He took immense pride in being the best father, father-in-law, and grandfather, loving his family with all his heart. He was deeply devoted to his 8 children, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Bill was incredibly proud of their accomplishments and found true happiness in their lives.

Bill was also exceptionally proud of how hard he worked to provide for his family. He saw his dedication and perseverance as a reflection of his love, ensuring that his family always had the support and stability they needed to thrive. His love, guidance, and unwavering commitment built a legacy of strength and unity that will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Alvillar; his children: Billy Alvillar, Elizabeth Alvillar, Edward Alvillar, Diane Hanson, Gloria Thompson, Stephen Alvillar, Frank Alvillar, and Danny Alvillar; his 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Ben Alvillar and Gilbert Alvillar. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and his love for them will never be forgotten.
