Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people pre-plan?
Most people pre-plan to (1) give their family peace of mind, (2) protect them financially against inflation, and (3) make sure their final wishes are honored exactly as they’d like. Many families come to us after experiencing the stress of handling arrangements without a plan in place—our services help you prevent that.
Why should I choose Meadow?
Meadow provides trusted, personalized cremation services at a fraction of the cost of a traditional funeral home. Families choose us for our transparent pricing, compassionate support, and attention to detail—without upsells or the need for in-person meetings. If you’re seeking only the lowest-cost direct cremation, we may not be the cheapest, but we offer exceptional value and peace of mind.
What does "price lock guarantee" mean?
The price you pay today covers all the services you choose—no matter how many years pass or what the cost of Meadow services are in the future. Your family will never owe anything more.
If I pre-pay, what happens when I pass?
When the time comes, your loved ones simply call our Care Team at (844) 606-3210. We’ll guide them through the process, answer any questions, and bring you into our care.
Do I have to pay upfront?
No. You can pay in full or choose a 3- or 5-year monthly payment plan, starting as low as $33/month*. We’re happy to provide a free quote.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment plans can be set up using a bank account or credit card with no additional fees. If you prefer to pay in full, you may do so via bank transfer or check for no fee, or with a credit card for a 3% processing fee.
How much do the payment plans cost?
Plans start at $33/month*. The exact cost depends on your age, plan length (3 or 5 years), and any upfront deposit you choose to make. We’re happy to provide a free quote.
How do the payment plans work?
If you choose a payment plan, part of your monthly payment goes towards your cremation and part goes towards the third party insurance company. The insurance company charges an insurance premium which is separate from what Meadow charges for cremation. When paid off in full, payment plans will be more expensive than single pay due to the insurance premiums. The insurance premiums ensure that, unless a stated exclusion applies, your preneed arrangements will still be covered if you pass away before you’ve fully paid off a payment plan.
Can I pay off the payment plan early?
Yes. You may pay off your balance at any time with no penalty. The payoff amount depends on your plan and timing.
Can I buy this for someone else?
Yes. You can buy on behalf of a family member. If you’re using a payment plan, the insured person’s signature is usually required for full coverage (unless you hold Power of Attorney). Our team can walk you through the details.
Are you able to collect any time?
Yes. Our team is on call day and night. While some hospitals have set release times, we always coordinate quickly and keep your family informed.
Do you offer burials?
Not at this time. We specialize in cremation, the choice most Americans make today.
What if you go out of business?
We don’t plan to go anywhere anytime soon. But you can rest assured that per state law, the funds for your prepaid funeral plan will be securely invested with a nationally regulated insurance agency, so that if we were to go out of business, the funds in your plan can be transferred to another provider who will honor the contract as written.
