Annette Maxine Kimbell Obituary

May 18, 1936 – December 21, 2024

Annette Maxine Kimbell, a vibrant soul who brought light, laughter, and a touch of Hollywood glamour to everyone she met, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 21, 2024, in Torrance, California. She was 88.

Born on May 18, 1936, Annette grew up in St. Louis, Missouri with a boundless imagination and an early love for the arts. This passion later became a defining thread in her life, inspiring her artistic endeavors.

Annette took immense pride in her two children, as well as her five grandchildren. They were her ultimate joy and the legacy of her love, wisdom, and humor.

In her professional life, in addition to working in retail, Annette was a ballroom dance instructor, inspiring her students with her larger-than-life personality. A natural social butterfly, she never missed an opportunity to share a clever quip or a sarcastic observation, earning her a reputation for being both witty and bold.

Annette was an avid reader, movie buff, and had a stylish sense of home decor and fashion. She had a sweet tooth for all things chocolate, and enjoyed cappuccinos as much as she enjoyed the company of friends and family.

Annette loved to entertain family and friends at her Westchester home, hosting birthday parties and holiday gatherings throughout the years, creating cherished memories.

She will be remembered as thoughtful, funny, smart, and generous—a woman who lived life unapologetically, with a twinkle in her eye and a flair for the dramatic. Her family and friends will forever remember her clever wit, tenacity, and her brilliant  spirit.

Annette is survived by her daughter Rachez (Darrin), her son Keyes (Janet) and her beloved grandchildren Tyus, Davinn, Trina, Oz, and Killian.

Her memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love she inspired in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
