Forrest “Woody” Knipple Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Forrest “Woody” Knipple on February 18, 2025, in Burbank, CA, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.

Born on July 13, 1964, in Oahu, Hawaii, Woody lived a life full of love, adventure, and unwavering faith.

Woody’s humor, warmth, and positivity made him a joy to be around. A true athlete, he played football as a tight end for the University of Hawaii and was a devoted Raiders fan. He loved basketball, swimming, and outdoor adventures, with his daughters and grandson. His passion for reggae music reflected his easygoing spirit.

Above all, Woody was a devoted father to his daughters, Amber and Ericah, from his first marriage to Vena. Throughout his battle with cancer, Vena and their daughters were a source of unwavering support, standing by him with love and strength. He deeply cherished his role as a grandfather to Kaelen and took immense pride in his family.

Woody shared a deep and loving connection with his parents, Verna and Clyde Knipple, and his brothers, Mike and Don. Their bond was a source of great strength and support throughout his life.

Forrest remained positive throughout his challenging days of medical treatments and hardship. His love story with Evgenia was one of deep connection and true grit. Their relationship endured challenges that tested their love and resilience. Even in his toughest moments, he continued to uplift others with his strength and kindness.

He is survived by his parents, Verna and Clyde Knipple; his first wife Vena Petty, his daughters, Amber and Ericah Knipple, his grandson, Kaelen; his loving wife Evgenia and  his brothers, Mike and Don; and many dear friends and extended family members.

Woody’s kindness, strength, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten. His legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
