Marvin James (Bishop) Tucker Obituary

October 3, 1964 - January 8, 2025

Mr Marvin James (Bishop) Tucker 60, completed his earthly mission for his Heavenly Father on Jan. 8, 2025, at Los Angeles General Medical Center after a brief illness. Marvin was born in Toledo, OH to the late Melvin Leon Tucker Sr & Eunice Foster Tucker. He spent the last 33 years in Santa Monica, California where he met the love of his life Ms. Francine Robertson.

Marvin had a fun-loving personality. To know him was to love him. He was kind and generous, giving both his resources and his time as a volunteer to help others. He was truly a man of GOD. Marvin Graduated from Southfield-Lathrup HS in Southfield, MI where he was an outstanding football player following the footsteps of his older brother Melvin. Marvin also loved to play the drums. In his educational pursuits he was an auto mechanic and earned an Associates degree in accounting. Marvin was enlisted in the US Navy Reserve in the early 90s. His occupational specialty was construction. He worked for Oakland County, Pontiac Michigan in the early 1990s as a construction inspector. Marvin used his skills to start a Limousine service and an auto towing service in Santa Monica. Marvin loved cars and working on them.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father Melvin Leon Tucker Sr, sister Regina Kynard, brothers David Tucker and Andre Tucker. He leaves loving memories to his Partner Francine Robertson, his Mother Eunice Williams, sisters Anita Tucker & Anissa Floure (Nathaniel), brothers Melvin Tucker Jr (Debra), Kyle Tucker, Jule Williams, Jesston Williams (Lynyse), Glenn Kynard Sr. (brother-in-law), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
