It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Walker on November 16, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, the city where she was born and lived a fulfilling life. Mary Ellen passed away peacefully.
Born on February 12, 1937, Mary Ellen was a beacon of kindness and joy. She was a graduate of Alhambra High School and her happy and warm personality touched everyone she met. She found immense fulfillment in her passions—reading, donating to countless charities and volunteering at her church and local library.
Mary Ellen dedicated many years of her professional life as a medical secretary with a cardiology group at Cedars-Sinai, where her work was marked by compassion and professionalism.
A loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Lois Redding Walker and William Henry Walker, and her sister, Lois Marie Walker Earnshaw. She is survived by numerous nieces and cousins who will continue to hold her memory close.
Mary Ellen will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, her joyful spirit, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her.
Mary Ellen will be laid to rest at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. Mary Ellen’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
