Ralph Henry Camarillo Obituary

July 15, 1938 - March 9, 2025

Ralph Henry Camarillo was born July 15, 1938, of Los Angeles and New York City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025. A renaissance man who embraced life's adventures, Ralph built a remarkable legacy across both coasts and touched countless lives with his wisdom and warmth.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ralphie established himself as a successful, 2nd generation construction business owner before reinventing himself as a restaurateur in New York City. His deep faith and commitment to the Lord, along with his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence made both ventures thrive. In retirement, Ralphie pursued his passions for gardening and international travel, exploring cultures and landscapes across the globe. As the beloved patriarch of his family, Ralph divided his time between his two favorite cities. He treasured moments in New York with family and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to cheer enthusiastically with his family and grandchildren at soccer and baseball games in Los Angeles. Pride in his family was immeasurable.

Ralphie, a dapper gentleman and conversationalist with a witty sense of humor, will be deeply missed by his family and the countless friends who considered him a father figure, confidant, and mentor. Ralph’s legacy of kindness, wisdom, and zest for life will continue through all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ralphie is survived by his devoted wife, 7 children, and 4 cherished grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on April 14, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, South Pasadena.

“Rest in eternal peace, Papa!”
