Timothy Collins Hughes, 65, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Van Nuys, CA, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Born on June 22, 1959, in Morristown, NJ, Tim was known for his sharp sense of humor, strong work ethic, and adventurous spirit.
A dedicated independent tractor-trailer driver, Tim took great pride in running his own freight transportation business. He loved nothing more than being on the road, especially when traveling and working alongside his son, Patrick.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Danny, Gerry, and Linda. He is survived by his devoted son, Patrick, who was his greatest source of pride and joy; as well as his siblings Tom (Boca Raton, FL), Richard (West Palm Beach, FL), Jack (Mastersonville, PA), Ellen (Morristown, NJ), and Paul (Palos Verdes, CA) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Tim’s ashes will be spread over the California cliffs and placed in the family burial plot in Marblehead, MA. His journey continues on roads unseen, but his humor, resilience, and love will always be remembered.
